We each have an advent calendar in the studio, sadly they all contain the same chocolates so it’s a race to get to it before anyone reveals what the window contains. But none of us expected to see Darth Vader!!
They’ve probably been around for a while but we caught sight of these Diesel pumps the other day. The soles are detailed with the map of Manhattan – it brought a smile to our faces.

Perhaps a controversial concept, however this Letterpress iPad app still maintains quite a lot of the majesty of Letterpress. Granted the feel of the wood and metal type, the smell of the ink and the paper aren’t there, but for some people it’s the closest they will be able to get. If it keeps Letterpress in peoples minds, then that’s no bad thing.
Have a look over at the LetterMpress site for more.
They get it so right, every time! Dip the top of anything in a Pantone colour and stick the reference on the bottom. Such a strong visual language that you can spot them a mile off. Any designer in your life will go weak at the knees for these.
Super inspiring story of a hand cycling world champion Monique van der Vorst.

ITS DECEMBER! That means you can officially go Christmas mad! Like watching the coke advert on repeat, that kind of thing… My next door neighbour goes for a minimalist christmas lights on their house but its all for charity! The big switch on happens at the weekend so you will have to wait for the grand reveal but here is one to keep you going…
Anyone who’s anyone has been watching Frozen Planet on the BBC (on tonight) at the moment, but it would be a whole lot better if the orchestra was playing live in your living room, wouldn’t it?! Unfortunately I don’t have a 500 sq ft living room so last weekend I went and saw Planet Earth Live at the Barbican. With the full BBC Concert Orchestra playing to re-cut footage from the amazing Planet Earth you could have listened to it for the rest of your life (i bought the cd and i plan to do this). If you didn’t get to make it to the Barbican for this one off show (it was completely sold out so i think there will be more soon), Human Planet Live is playing at the O2 in the new year so get those tickets on your Christmas list!
To top it off Sir David Attenborough was in the audience, he probably got the biggest cheer of the evening.
A fun piece of stop animation by the Guys over at Theory, topped with a great soundtrack by the tremendous Cinematic Orchestra.
